I work for Maytag and I make Ceramic tops. The best cookware to use is T-fal or anything with a smooth bottom. never use glass cookware or cast iron. Try to avoid over spills. I know many people who have glass tops and have dark burnt circles where the elements(eyes) are. You can avoid this buy using a window scraper to get off all the excess then use something like softscrub or you can buy cermanic glass cleaner to remove the rest Always clean your glass top with these cleaners every once in awhile then your top will look brand new.

I use Circulon. Whatever you decide, make sure the bottoms are completely flat, or the cooktop might shut itself off.

You can continue to use what you have been using. The ceramic finish will not be hurt by any cookware. Further, ceramic is a tough material that will not scratch. Go to Google and type in the words ceramic properties . If you aren't setup for Google, just type those words in your address bar (the white line at the top). You'll probably see lots of things, look around and you'll get all kinds of information.
