I have hard water and I do put my pots and pans in the dishwasher, and now they are a whitish/grey color on the outside, I want to know is there anything to make the outside of them look new again.
The cooking surface is fine.
Try "Bar Keepers Friend". You can find it at Walmart or some grocery stores. It has a mild abrasive and a little acid. (white powder). I use is for alot of household scum, deposits, etc. Works like a charm. Good luck
Best product between Revere 3 ply or Chefs Secret 5 ply stainless steel pots & pans?

The whitish cast is just lime buildup.Pick up some dishwasher delimer and run it in the dishwasher with the pans in it. You can get it at Walmart. It will take it off and clean the dishwasher too. To stop it in the future do not use the heat dry on the dishwasher. Or you can put in a water softener.
